The job involved doing a pencil sketch drawing to then be composited into the short film itself. The main character in the short, portrayed by Luna Racy, is seen sketching her friend in the short itself however the actress was unable to draw that. This sketch drawing served as a means to make it look as if the actress had actually drawn the image herself. "Sketchpad Drawing" : 18x24 Photoshop, 2018</image:caption>

<image:title>Art - Concept Art - "CIRCLE-Mothership"</image:title>
<image:caption>This piece of conceptual art was done for the sci-fi horror film: "CIRCLE". In the film there are fifty strangers who have been abducted having no recollection as to how they had been captured and are forced to vote to who dies every four minute. (Spoiler Alert) While we only ever see anything outside of the room in which the captives are being held that when designing the ship it was crucial for it to have an impactful look on screen. In the early stages of designing the ship the director of the film, Mario Miscione, drew inspiration of the Apple headquaters building and felt the ships overall design should be geometric based as possible. Espesially given the title of the very film itself. Upon the visual direction of ship provided by the direction the task then came to take a simple ring shape and make it look as 'alien' as possible. In addtion to incoperating such particular look, and feeling, to the ship itself It was al very important to include as much visual elements from the chamber itself into the ships very design. As such, I thought to not only include the red arrows into the design but to also include a black sphere within the center as well as a better menas to visually relate both the very room itself and the ship together. In addtion to incoperating particular visual key elements into the design of the ship I thought it would also be interesting for there to massive components in which rotate in opposite direction from one another as a means to not only convey kinetic movement but to also illustrate a senses that the Aliens were very much advanced in there technology. <image:title>Art - Concept Art - Werewolf Concept</image:title>
<image:caption>This was a freelance job that involved doing concept art for an untitled Akiva Goldsman film project involving Werewolfs. Although the project was in early development when I was hired to do concept art for the film however, the very story itself involved the very existence of Werewolves co-exsisting with humanity within modern day times. There has certainly been a vas amount of interpretations towards the very look of Werewolves that has accumulated over the year that in doing theses concept for this particular project I thought it would be interesting, and remanescent, to take the very look of the Werewolf back to its roots. In this particular case, I drew inspiration from the 1941 Universal Studio's "Wolf Man" film in which I combined the anatomical anatomy of both human and wolf together with the itent of using pratical effect to achieve the look of the Werewolf for on screen. In addition to this particular direction of designing the anatomy of the Werewolf I also thought it would be appropriate to base the Werewolf design itself on actual "wolf breeds" as a means to better distinguish the designs from what has been previously seen on screen. <image:title>Art - Poster Art - [DARK/WEB] Cast Poster</image:title>
<image:caption>This was the third, and final, poster to be released in which to further promote the tv series [DARK/WEB]. As post production had finally concluded, the time had now come in which to better promote the shows itself. In this case, the poster’s very design included the main cast of the show itself. This was the very first time in which a [D/W] poster had featured the main cast to the show that it was important to create, and concept, a method in which to not only showcase the main cast but illustrate it in such a way that still establishes the overall theme, premise, and overall tone to the show’s story itself. In this case, it was important to show the characters being consumed by technology while being subjected to the dark web's very influences. In addition to this particular concept the executive producers of the show thought it would also be interesting if the core cast were included within a single poster. As such, it was decided to integrate a shattered glass texture within the imagery itself as a means to convey not only how their very world is being taken apart but it also allowed the cast photos to be a part of a single image. The last touch of the poster was to include the MHIRE symbol with the center of the poster since it is the very force which connects them all together. <image:caption>This was the second poster, out of three, to be released for the tv series [DARK/WEB]. With this particular poster, with filming now concluded, it was important to convey a little more information about the show as opposed to simply relying on objective imagery. Prior to this poster's creation, back when we were filming, I had the opportunity to work with the show's director of photography, Lars Lindstrom, to take some photos of Molly, portrayed by Noemi Gonzalez, in front of her work station with the intent to use the footage in the future. Even in the early days of shooting I knew there would come a time in which to create another poster that offered more visual information to the show, and that when the time eventually came to produce another poster for the show I had already had stock photography at my disposal. As such, for this particular poster I felt it would be reminiscent to play off the teaser poster only this time we have more of a cinematic feel since we have actual footage of the show in which to go off from. <image:title>Art - Poster Art - [DARK/WEB] Teaser Poster</image:title>
<image:caption>This was a teaser poster created for the purpose to promote the tv series called: [DARK/WEB]. Back when this poster was released, principal photography and filming had just begun and the task was to create a poster that could give a glimpse of what the show involves with the absence of key footage from the show. In this case, technology is the overall theme and premise of the show, so it was decided to put a laptop computer within a very cold, ominous, mysterious, and chilling environment. Prior to the teaser poster being released for the show, as far as art goes, all that was ever released was the show's logo, in addition to banner art, and with this teaser poster's very release it made the project itself more official. This poster would become one of three posters that would eventually be released in which to further promote the show itself. [DARK/WEB] Teaser Poster: 5 x 8 Photoshop, 2017</image:caption>

<image:caption>This was a poster done for a short film that was a comedic piece, and very much a parody towards romantic comedy films. The intent for this particular poster's design was to, intentionally, mislead the audiences into thinking they would be viewing a traditional light hearted romantic comedy to then discover… The short is everything except a romantic comedy. The short itself was absolutely hysterical, and crafting this poster was very much a pleasure to work on considering how the imagery is intentionally false advertisement. <image:title>Art - Poster Art - "CIRCLE" Film Poster</image:title>
<image:caption>This was the very first official poster done for the sci-fi horror film "CIRCLE" (2015). After filming had officially wrapped, and post production now underway, it was my job to produce artwork that would visually represent the film from an artistic standpoint. This particular poster was considered a "teaser" in that it doesn't give any particular information about the film other than to create, as intended, a sense of mystery through abstract imagery. While very little was offered about the film, besides it being a very long line involving 50 strangers being held against their will as they had to vote every round to who lived and died, the task was to create a minimalist imagery that would convey just enough information that would spark interest in the film. The set designer of the film had produced the very geometric floor graphic, in which the captives standing on each individual circle, that I thought it would be intriguing to work into the teaser poster. However, rather than having the floor pattern be simply flat I felt it would be more dynamic for the pattern to be somewhat in perspective and warped to the point it felt the pattern looked as if it was in a dome shape. Which in turn made the look ever so reminiscent to the very dome within the center of the room itself. Upon completing the design, and look, of the poster a tagline was needed in which to further establish a sense, to what is very minimalistic, of what the film involved that a tagline was needed. In this case, having seen the film multiple times as a result of post-production, I had always felt the line in which the doctor character stated "In here… everything gets you killed." was the perfect line in which to use for the poster, for it magnificently described the situation the captives were in. <image:caption>This was a poster I did specially for my brother, Mike, for his first directed short film. Not only did he direct this film but he also wrote, produced, and acted in it as well. For this particular poster, Mike wanted the poster to be a spoof towards a Sundance film poster as possible in which the subject matter of the poster is to read as very dramatic only in this case the film is a complete parody of a comic strip character. This short film eventually went on to not only win for best short film of the year but also won a great lead actor as well! Way to go brother!!! I was tasked to take a series of their photography and put the characters into a fantasy environment. This particular poster was used for their website as promotional material to give a tease to what their next show would be. The photos of the characters were taken from within the theater itself and upon completion of the photos I was tasked to make the environment they were in as fantasy-based as possible. <image:caption>This was a film poster done for Lifetime feature length tv movie "Borrowed Moments" in which I was hired by the film's production manager for the job. For this particular project I was not only provided a photograph of the actors but I was also given a particular beach shot that they wanted in the poster itself. As such, I was tasked to not only integrate two completely separate images together but to also make it look as if the actors were truly in front of the beach itself. With the advent in Photoshop I was successfully able to composite the two images together to make it look as if they were actually standing in front of the beach while also emphasizing the warm feeling in which a sunset offers in which further conveyed the love story involved in the film. <image:caption>This was the very first professional poster job I had done in my career as an artist. This poster was done for a comedic short film titled "Lady in Red". While the film was roughly five minutes in length, the task was to create a poster that could tell enough about the short while still capturing a sense of humor within the design itself. Since the short involved a petty dispute against two opposing rivals at a football game, what better way to illustrate such a hostile dispute than showcasing the main character's inner hostility towards one another. Upon completing this poster I found it utterly amazing as to how much photo editing and manipulation really goes into making a poster look theatrical. This short film eventually landed its way on funnyordie.com "LADY IN RED" Poster: 5 X 8 Photoshop, 2011</image:caption>

<image:caption>This cover album was created for "LOS FANBOYS” newly exlsuive intro song. The new intro music was composed by the very talented Rob Chiarelli as the podcast made its triumphant return, after a three month hiatus, with its 50th episode! As a means to promote, and recognize, the debut of the new intro music for the podcast it was nesseasary to put together this very cover album as a means to further promote the podcast very return. Since the into music has a very hip hop vibe I felt the cover album itself should reflect the very genre itself. Hences the destion to have the typogrpahy be as distreesed as possible on a grunge like background. In addtion to design, it was also important to visually convey in the piece some kind of indication of what the music was associated which opt to putting a microphone, spraypainted, into the background. “THIS IS OUR HOUSE" Cover Album: Photoshop, 2017</image:caption>

Unlike most cover album artwork I have done in the past this one was fairly minimalistic then I'm used to doing. In doing this particular cover the musician had provided the photo she wanted on the cover and with the task to further emphasize a feeling of romances. Considering the photo was taken near a beach I though to further bring the ocean colors in to further contrast while also adding ocean particles to further make the album cover feel like a warm summer day. The option article came out back in 2020 in which covered old school media be it film, televisions, comics, and games from the 80’s to the 90’s. In which case the logo needed to reflect, and visually represent, such nostalgia. I have to admit this is my favorite design to date in which the logo itself had to look as vintage, and retro, as possible and was a lot of fun to recreate such a particular 80's style.</image:caption>

The site would cover a vas array film, and televisions, genres that the goal was to create a logo in which invoke a level of exploring, hence the space helmet, among various realms of genre. In addition to this, it was eventually decided to make the logo itself appear more retro than modern simply because such vintage design scheme would translate far better to the viewer in seeing something recognizable. "#HACKED" was one of six anthology segments within the show itself in which the theme touches on the dangers of technology. The story behind "#HACKED" involved the main characters social media account being hacked as she finds herself being targeted. With this logo, it was important to convey a sense of glitching and computer corruption throughout the typography as a means to further emphasize the feeling of someone's computer being 'hacked'. The hashtag symbol was requested by the director, Eric Salberg, of the 'B-Story' as a means to better convey a sense of being hacked through social media, as well the director having done a previous short with a hashtag in the title. "ZERO" was one of six anthology segments within the show itself in which the theme touches on the dangers of technology. The story behind "ZERO" involved a post apocalyptic setting involving zombies. With this logo, it was important to convey a great deal of foreboding and hostility given the post-apocalyptic feel in addition to making the texture as grungy as possible. Since the color palette of the banner was blue it was eventually decided to make the logo itself red not only as a means to make it pop more but also as a means to also convey a dire feeling. With this particular logo it was very important to keep its overall design as simple as possible, especially considering the show is a podcast, but at the same time it was important to make it appear mainstream as well despite its simplicity. I'm a big fan of the podcast itself and if you are fanboy, like myself, and love all things fanboys related: this is the podcast for you! <image:title>Art - Logos - [DARK/WEB] Logo (Redesigned)</image:title>
<image:caption>[ DARK / WEB ] This is a updated and modified logo design I recently did for the digital series that is now retitled as, "[DARK/WEB]". With this particular updated version to the series title art, the filmmakers associated with the project wanted the design to not only look more digital than before but also to appear even more glitchy as if we, the viewer, were looking straight into a computer screen. What opted for the title art to be redesigned is because at the time, during post production on the show, other shows and movies were being released with the same title and it was imperative for the show title to stand out as much as possible. Since the show’s very theme centers around the dark web itself it was decided to write the title as if typing a url address into a web browser which prompted me to include brackets "[ }" and a slash mark "/" within the title itself to further convey the feeling of a web address. In addition to the redesign, the title art was originally established as red, but in our efforts to have our title stand out from the crowd, I proposed making the title arts color palette blue. The reason for this is because in the world of science fiction the color blue has always been a prominent color in establishing a science fiction feel. Plus, in addition to the show being that of a sci-fi genre, the show also involved horror that sketching the color blue also created an ominous, mysterious, and chilling feeling that it certainly helped to better establish a sense of sci-fi horror. In addition to the redesign in typography and color, I have always been a fan of insignia design in their ability to represent deeper meaning through symbolism alone. This seemed like a great opportunity to incorporate the MHIRE symbol with the title art itself which further helped the title art to be even more distinguished. <image:title>Art - Logos - 9 PANEL GRID Logo</image:title>
<image:caption>This logo design was for a new and exclusive podcast featured on LRM that was in association with: "The Comic Source" podcast. In designing the logo itself, the host drew inspiration from early comic book pages being told within a nine panel narrative that would consist within a single page that since the podcast would discuss all things comics the title seemed very appropriate. With a general concept in mind I decided to not only incorporate a number, with typography, into the very design but also include a grind incorporated into the number as well as a means to bring stronger emphasis towards a nine panel grid layout. Another element that was requested from me was to incorporate a red star into the design simply because the symbol itself represents "The Comic Source" podcast that such inclusion would further establish a sense of cross branding, and promotion, to both podcasts. 9 PANEL GRID Logo: Photoshop, 2016</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is a logo I made for a film production company known as FELT FILMS. Originally, prior to this logo's very creation, the logo was originally black & white but it was eventually asked of me to incorporate red within the title itself. Considering the company's very goal is to create films that inwardly resonates with its audiences, hence the title, the choice to make the word 'felt' red seemed like an obvious choice. Red has always been a striking, and impactful, color that such color being applied to a word like 'felt' seemed like a match made in heaven. By adding red into the logo’s very design most certainly makes the logo less monochromatic and adds a little more life into the design. FELT FILM logo: Photoshop, 2016</image:caption>

For this particular design it was not only important to convey a sense of mainstream hierarchy, considering the volume would determine what was the most exciting news within each week, but to also bring emphasis to the number '5'. <image:title>Art - Logos - DARK-WEB Logo</image:title>
<image:caption>This logo was done for LRM/FELT FILMS latest project: "(DARK-WEB)". With the show in early stages of development and production, it was necessary to create a logo/title art that would help illustrate what the show involves from a storytelling standpoint. In this particular case, the show explores the dangers of technology that, naturally, the artwork had to reflect such a particular look. To begin with, I thought it would be interesting if the logo itself looked like a CRT monitor with the font itself having a glitch-like effect. Since the show involves the very essence of the dark web naturally it was important to make the title as ominous as possible which ultimately prompted the title’s color palette to be red. <image:caption>This was an editorial column logo exclusive to the LRM title as "The Weekend Warrior". TWW was a column that used to be on ComingSoon.Net, but for a time was "officially" a part of LRM. As a means to make the column’s return more impactful to loyal readers, it was decided to create a logo to help make the column itself more distinguished. While working with both the authors of the very column and other staff members associated with LRM we wanted the font of the composition to be simple in design, but to have a very grunge/distress look to it as well. <image:caption>This was a logo redesign design I did for a well known fanboy website known as "Latino-Review". During my time in redesigning their logo, the website itself was currently being redesigned, rebranded, and relaunched in an effort to pave way for more media based content for the site. For the longest time, since day one of going live online, the site had been referred to as "Latino-Review". Rather than undoing the title itself it was decided to simply add "media'' to the title as a means to incorporate all forms of media based outlets into the site’s very journalistic nature. In addition to the logo's redesign it was eventually decided to make the logo as simplistic as possible while attempting to retain as much from the original design as possible. I've been a big fan of the website for quite some time and it was an honor to be involved in the redesign process. LRM Logo: Photshop, 2016</image:caption>

<image:title>Art - Logos - "CIRCLE" Redesigned Logo</image:title>
<image:caption>This is title art produced for the very same sci-fi horror film "CIRCLE" only this time it was more crucial to create a logo that appeared more cinematic compared to the previous design while also giving a more sci-fi feel. As with the first logo design, this was a science-fiction film, with an element of both fear and horror very much present, that it was important for the logo to embody such a genre. My initial thought was to make the logo chrome metal as much as possible as well including the signature ominous red glow for the finishing touch. In addition to the metal inspired typography I felt what would further push the look, as well to help it pop, was to have a stone like backdrop behind it as a means to help the title art itself stand out more. It is worth mentioning that this was the first time I had produced title art that would then be used for the first official trailer of the film. <image:caption>This was an early rendition of the title art created for the sci-fi horror film "CIRCLE". When creating the logo for the film I really strived to make the logo itself look very proprietary in its overall design and to pass off as something very signature as opposed to generic. Considering this was a science-fiction film, with an element of both fear and horror very much present, it was important for the logo to embody such a genre. My initial thought was to make the logo as digital and neon as much as possible, while including an ominous red glow for the finishing touch. "CIRCLE" Logo: Photoshop, 2014</image:caption>

<image:title>Art - Logos - OFFICE NINJA logo</image:title>
<image:caption>This was a logo made for an online web series a production company was developing to produce. Sadly, the series never got past the development phase. Aside from this unfortunate fate, the show's premise was going to be a modern day ninja in an American office space. The series humor was going to be similar to NBC's "The Office", in that it was going to be shot documentary style, only in this particular case there would be an actual ninja interacting amongst his western coworkers. When designing the logo I thought to incorporate two forms of typography into the logo's very design. For instance, since the show title involved a ninja, I thought it would be appropriate to incorporate into the logo traditional Japanese calligraphy brushwork for the word "ninja". Whereas for the word "office" I used a recognizable American font, in this case I used a font called Dynamoe, as a better means to convey an office-like feel. Considering the premise of the show, it was very important to combine into the logo both eastern and western typography as means to further convey the premise of the story. Special thanks to Toshi Tsutsumi for his assistance in providing traditional Japanese calligraphy! OFFICE NINJA logo: Brush Pen/Photoshop 2011</image:caption>

<image:title>Art - Logos - "STAR DRIVE" Title Art & Insignia</image:title>
<image:caption>This logo/title art was created for a tv show, which is currently in development, known as "STAR DRIVE". This was a most enjoyable piece to do for the show in particular because the show's very premise, which is my all time favorite genre, is science fiction that touches space exploration in the not so distant future. The show runner, who is also the show's very creator, had always been a huge fan of Star Trek that he wanted the title art to have a similar feel without the typography being too similar. With such concerns addressed, and in mind, since the show is all about traveling through space I tried to not only find a font that would complement such a genre but for the typography to have a great deal of movement to it as well. The insignia portion to this title art “SD7” was also created as a badge in which the passengers aboard the space station would have on their clothing. The approach to doing this particular insignia was drawing influences from early NASA imagery and finding ways to take a futuristic logo and make it appear wear and tear. While the show does in fact take place in the future, the show's creator wanted to have as much of a retro feel in the overall design as much as possible. <image:caption>This logo was made for a privately owned business company known as "XLR-8". The company focuses on the acquisition of other established companies with the purpose of remodeling their inner business structure in which to better strive. The company founder had always been a fan of NASCAR racing and he wanted the logo to have a feel of movement, hence the name, so going in such a particular direction I thought to make the logo both metal and to put a hint of carbon fiber into the logo. When we think of acceleration we usually think of cars that from an artistic standpoint it made sense to incorporate such a particular aesthetic into the overall design. When designing this logo it was important for it to both look and feel like a traditional school logo in which featured a familiar font style as well as a limited color palette. The show runners also wanted to include an insignia to better establish the identity of the school, so I felt including a tree into the design seemed school like and putting in a crossroad would further establish the school’s identity.</image:caption>
